Memento (Memory Fragments) is a series of photographs documenting my life journey through a variety of small objects I collected over the years. Through the process of edge tearing, wet mounting and brush finishing, each photograph becomes its own unique object, poetically diaristic and so imperfectly human.

Light-seer
Being primarily a painter, I like to think about photography as “painting with light,” where light is the paint and camera sensor is the canvas. What makes photography a unique approach is that, while being in the right place at the right time, decisions must be made instantaneously. The process is frightening but liberating at the same time, and most importantly, maintains the perfect moment in its truest form.

Superimposed Symmetry
Superimposed Symmetry is a double-exposure photography series characterized by two superimposed images taken at the same angle 180 degrees to each other. By focusing mainly on the structures, my fascination of architecture, particularly its directionality and geometry, is abstracted and redefined.
Life
Always fascinated about plants as a naturalist, my “Life” series is a journey into the curious world of plant life, where peculiar shapes and textures are always waiting to be discovered.

Urban Timescape
In Urban Timescape, my discovery of the underlying rhythms behind the mundane, day-to-day cityscape is translated into a series of multiple exposure black and white film photography. Aside from the mental planning prior to shooting, exposures of each photo are taken following the rhythms I perceived at the scene without much deliberation to the final image, which introduces a controlled spontaneity into the process.
